Church With No Walls
Foundation
Devo: 10/6/17: Hello everyone. Happy Friday. The Lord is my Morning Star this morning and every morning. He is my refuge and my fortress. He is my Strong Tower. He is the one who give me strength to mount up on eagle wings so I can run and not get tired, to walk and not faint. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quite waters. He has filled my cup to overflowing and as I thirst, He continues to send rivers of living water out of my heart. IS THE HOLY SPIRIT ALIVE IN YOU TODAY? God Bless
Devo: 10/5/17: Hello all. Just a few thoughts here. Who are you in Christ? How do others view you? A Follower should be known by his or her peers for integrity, honesty and pure heart. I honestly believe that only the pure of heart and to be an open book to Christ can experience total happiness. (Those who walk righteously......will dwell on the heights....Isaiah 33:15-16). Be encouraged..
Devo: 10/4/17: Hello fellow believers, friends, family and who ever reads this. Where do you place your trust? Many people put their security in this country, thinking it is too big to fail or impenetrable fortress. We have learned over the past few days and years that it is quite the contrary. When all around us we see the world falling apart (Vegas) and tragedy that strikes our community, we must rely on God and trust Him. Praise God. (Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord. Psalm 20:7). Praise God
Devo: 10/3/17: Good morning fellow peeps. I am going to say something that many will find quite profound. In the first few years of my walk with Christ I went into what I called (mountains and valleys). In my personal walk with Christ, the presence of God would fade from time to time. I have changed my view on this in many ways. These valleys are many times self inflicted. The Holy Spirit is continually speaking to us and we may claim we don't hear Him because we are in a season of being in a valley. It is not His intention for us not to hear Him. We just move away from His soft still voice and like I said is self inflicted. We will hear from The Holy Spirit when we have (spiritual) eyes to see and (spiritual) ears to hear. Scripture reference-Matthew 13:11-16. Stay encouraged.
Devo: 10/2/17: In talking to my 2 managers in the office this morning, (yes, I talk about the Bible often with them). God is calling us all to a new level. He will make you uncomfortable in a situation if you don't climb to that new level. Let The Holy Spirit take you from glory to glory. Rise up church !!!!! Be encouraged
Devo: 9/21/17: Who is your giant? You got to love David. All the naysayers and critics. The confidence he had in The Lord. Totally unprepared by human standards but totally equipped with The Name of The Lord. Which works better for YOU? He was not focused on the size of his giant but the size of his LORD. (...the Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, He will deliver me out of the hand of the Philistine....1 Samuel 17:37). Do you have this confidence in the Lord to face your giant? Be encouraged !!!!!!!
Devo: 9/20/17: Hello fellow believers. With all the interesting things (storms, earthquakes, rumors of war), some would say it's a coincidence. It's a scientific thing. It's a weather pattern. Or fracking. I say this. There is never a conflict between true science and our Christian faith. When all the truth is known, it will line right up with the Bible. Which, if you know your bible, the truth comes out, and it sets you free of the delusional bondage. Go read, learn and be encouraged. God bless.
Devo: 9/19/17: As I woke up to the rain, thunder and storms this morning, I'm reminded-Jesus never said when we follow Him, that it would be a bed of roses. It's quite the contrary. Society is coming one way and believers are going another way. But He assured us that in the midst of your problems and difficulties, He will be there to give you grace and peace. Under the storm is the "still waters" that only The Great Shepherd can provide. (But to each of us grace has been given as Christ apportion it. Ephesians 4:7). God bless.
Devo: 9/18/17: Hello friends and family. It is time for the body of Christ to come together as one. We have Pentecostals, Baptist, Presbyteries, Methodists, Church of Christ, Catholics and the list goes on and on. When Christ returns for His people(and most of us know it is soon) it's not going to be a certain group or denomination. It's going to be a spotless bride that is looking for His return. Don't be distant from others just because they see things differently than you. Remove the walls that separate us and replace them with unbreakable chains. (Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:27). Be encouraged
Devo: 9/15/17: Well, good morning and happy Friday. I am all about finding truth. How can we find TRUE happiness, self confidence and worth? It starts here: We must admit we are poor before He can make us rich, we must admit we are destitute before we can become children of adoption, we must acknowledge that our own goodness is as filthy rags in the sight of God, AND WE MUST REALIZE THE DESTRUCTIVE POWER OF NOT RELEASING OUR STUBBORN WILL TO HIM. We must realize our absolute dependence on the grace of God through faith and nothing more. Then we can be on the road to true fulfilling happiness. We cannot go to God through works. We come to know God by faith through grace. You can't work your way toward happiness and heaven, you can't reform your way, and cannot buy your way. It is a gift from God. Be encouraged and have a great weekend.
Devo: 9/14/17: Good morning to all- I was reading this morning in John chapter 5 and took notice of vs 30. Jesus was speaking-"By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgement is just, for I seek not to please myself but Him who sent me." You see, this one verse explains the whole second covenant. We, as a seed of Jesus and Abraham (Galatians 3:29), Jesus tells us, "I can't do this on my own". What I'm trying to say is this, if you are tired of this circle of finding salvation, forgiveness of sin just to try your hardest to live right and keep failing and then to ask forgiveness again and again for the same sin you keep falling into. Under your own effort, you have fallen under the old covenant. If Jesus couldn't do anything but only by the help of the Father by (The Fathers will) what make us think we can? We need the help of the Father just as Jesus did to fulfill the will of the Father. I hope this make since. I pray that God will open the eyes to those who have eyes to see and open ears to hear. God bless you all.
Devo: 9/13/17: Hello friends and family. Happy hump day. Think about something here. Do you defend religion? How about statements like this? "Religion is the opiate (opioid) of the people" -Karl Marx. Religion will spawn wars. Many so-called religious people have been characterized by prejudiced, pride, bickering, and even tolerance to slavery. I would just remind all of us to a simple call to faith in Christ Jesus who said- "Love your neighbor as yourself." Are you really concerned? Are you disappointed in society? If you are, I challenge all of us (including me) to take the first step. I challenge us-to look at us !!!! God bless.
Devo: 9/12/17: Hi everyone, I love the coolness of this Tuesday morning. Note to self and others who have ears to hear-Our modern philosophy is to be self reliant/self sufficient. Problem with this is, this make us feel we can make it without God. "RELIGION" some say, "may be alright for certain emotional people, but you can't beat a man who believes in himself." Look at this generation and the results from this way of living. (Alcoholics, addiction, broken homes.....)It is great to be self confident and self sufficient as long as you REALLY understand that none of us are anything if it weren't for the grace of God. We need Him more than ever. Be encouraged.
Devo: 9/11/17: We are in a strange time. But not strange when it comes to bible prophecy. Right after the eclipse all the sudden, 2 major hurricanes, 4 states on fire, earthquakes, rumors of war. The list goes on and on. Scriptures to read: 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 2 Peter 3:3-4. Take a look at them and compare to the days we live in. Although, be careful of scoffers, as it is also mentioned. I truly believe there is a shakeup taking place. Look to Jesus and be encouraged!!!
Devo: 9/8/17: Hello fellow peeps of the Kingdom. Happy Friday. Can we be honest? Truly, truly honest. When we get offended, what is our reaction? Or if we offend someone else and we REALLY feel it's not our fault, how do we respond? If it isn't in a loving and restoring way, is it of God? What is the GOD way of dealing with this kind of messy stuff? (All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18). Guys, the only reason we wouldn't put this into place is pride. We all know what pride will bring- Proverbs 16:18, James 4:6,...... But keep on-keeping on. If you won't give up on God, He won't give up on you. God bless
Devo: 8/6/17: How do I find my calling? Well, I guess you will know when you find it. (We, the body of Christ) want to hear from God-but hearing from God and following through on what He says are two very different things. We often pray for God to speak and lead us before we are even willing to take the steps forward when He tells us to move. Finding Gods call is a journey.
Each of us are called to build the Kingdom Of God. We all may have a different roll in this. God will reveal to you what your roll is.
When you walk in your calling you can expect spiritual warfare. The enemy will fight you but you will always come out on top. There will be areas that use to affect you negatively but you will learn to rise above this to a point you walk in faith and it doesn't faze you.
You need mentors. No matter how far you go into your calling, we all need mentors to guide you and you need to be a mentor. Be available for people to reach out to you.
Still, this is a journey, an adventure. Be prayerful and looking above to God for guidance anytime you think of it which hopefully you understand -you can do this on an ongoing basis. When you are in communion with the Holy Spirit, He is there to be ministered to 24/7.
God bless and Happy Hump Day.
Devo: 9/5/17: Hello friends and family. Over the years I have seen people come to know Jesus and drop off after a little time. For one reason or another they are back to the life they came out of. And there are many reasons for this. But there is one that really bothers me. It's when there isn't any discipleship from seasoned believers to new believers. A new born baby can't live without milk, nurturing, and help. Neither can a new born believer. We need to put aside our busy schedule and attend to this. Read 1 Thessalonians 2:1-12. Focus on vs 11-12. God bless you all.
Devo: 9/1/17: How do you become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit? Well, it's this simple...Spend time in communion with Him, Cultivate an awareness of His presence, Pursue Holiness, and set your heart to do His will. You have full control over how sensitive you are and it flows out of the relationship we have with the Lord. (And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption). Be encouraged and have a blessed Labor Day weekend. Next devo will come on Tuesday. God bless.
Devo: 8/31/17: Denise and I study end time prophecy all the time in one way or another. We see things unfolding before our very eyes. Especially 2 Timothy 3:1-5. This is another hard lesson we have had to learn. But it causes us to evaluate our own lives and see how it measures up against this passage. Now after evaluating this passage, apply 2 Timothy 3:16 to your life. Please, search these scriptures out and apply to your life. Remember, it's not about you or me, it's about furthering the Kingdom Of God. -God Bless
Devo: 8/30/17: No need to answer this question. But it is a hard lesson to learn. -let's dig deep. Real deep. Tell me what you think about money, and I will tell you what you think about God. It is staggering the fact that people spend much on luxury and minimal on charitable needs. Remember, all that we have belongs to God anyway. So we must ask, what kind of a Steward of Gods assets are we? Good read -Mathew 6:24. Take this devo and just pray on it. God Bless
Devo: 8/29/17: Hello fellow peeps. We face uncertain times in today's world to say the least. Don't get burdened down with what you hear on the news because these things that we see, we really should expect if you truly believe we are in the last days. Guess what, it's not going to get any better. No it's not until He comes and takes us to Glory. So, look to The Lord, for He is the the very breath we breathe and the life we live. He is our peace in times of trouble. He is our refuge in a place of no comfort. He is everything to me and all of us. Praise God !!!!!
Devo: 8/28/17: Hello friends/family. Today is the day that the Lord has made. Let us be glad and rejoice in it. -King David found himself in a battle of his own country. Strife had entered in a way, that he felt would tear it apart. Slave hated master, master hated slave, people blamed government and government blamed the people. So, David turned to God. God revealed to him that his country spiritual tide could not rise above the level of his own heart. Pride set in. (Scripture nugget, pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall Proverbs 18:18). What is the answer? (Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Psalm 139:23-24). Be encouraged in these trying days and pray for me as well and I will pray for you.
Devo: 8/25/17: It sure is easy to quote theology when everything is well. But, when your hurting, what then? You can throw out your theology. When your hurting and all you have is a mountain in front of you. You know the power of God because He has shown it to you time and time again. BUT ALL YOU SEE IS -He isn't moving it. He has been faithful to you so what ever the reason, stay in there and hold on to that might hand of God. Even if He don't - Your hope is in Him alone.
Devo: 8/24/17: Denise and I- have been having deep, deep conversations. About what it means to grow deeper, deeper in God. 2 Corinthians 3:18 tells us about ever increasing glory. (Moving from glory to glory). What does this mean and what happens? God promises if we seek Him we will find Him. After we find Him, we need to seek more of Him and we will find more of Him. So on -and so on. Moving from faith to faith. Ever increasing faith. He will take you on a journey way beyond your wildest dreams. He also eventually will reveal things for your (spiritual) eyes only. -God bless.
Devo: 8/23/17: Someone ask me, "How much do you know about God?" Well, I said, "Not too much, but all I know is He changed my life." I may not be able to to scientifically prove Him. But, if we accept facts of history, we must accept the fact that Jesus rose from the dead. (For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that He might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. Romans 14:9). Be encouraged.
Devo: 8/22/17: Remember, we are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. So, me must enter into the spiritual realm to even do what God would have us to do. You see, if we try to complete it in our own abilities, and even have success, we become boastful and prideful. Then you will wonder why people can't become successful like you. You will become judgmental. Let no flesh have glory in the presence of God. Your works for God become labor in your own works. But if you can enter into grace and let God help you, you have the hand of the All Mighty. You won't see fault in others but you will gently restore them with grace. Jesus Himself told His disciples that He can do nothing of Himself, but only though the will of the Father and that started the new covenant in which (being Jesus seed) we have grace. When a new convert receives Jesus and starts this new walk, so many will say to that person "now you need to get your flesh right with God". And now you see that person working in his flesh to fix his unholiness. You just fell back into the old covenant. We need to reach out to Gods hand and receive His help. And mature christians should take a step back also and reach for Gods hand rather than trying to replace God with fleshly help. Remember, if Jesus is your tree and you are the branch, what fruit are you going to bare? Fruit of the Spirit? Or if you are in the flesh, what fruit will you bare? It won't be of the Spirit. God bless you all.
Devo: 8/21/17: ......When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. Isaiah 59:19. You know you must be doing something well pleasing to God when the enemy attack is so hard that he sends his best, most nasty, people to try to destroy what you are doing for God. But, you have to sometimes take a step back and let your Lord do His best work. It's becomes so obviously that Gods is working on your behalf that you have to just praise Him and worship Him. Stay encouraged.
Devo: 8/18/17: God says that only those who hunger after righteousness will receive it. You must desire it. Your yearning must overpower you desires for anything else. (....let anyone that is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. John 7:37-38). Be encouraged
Devo: 8/17/17: I have been studying, and studying and studying. I have been seeking God, seeking God and seeking God. Not necessarily to ask for anything but just to know Him better. To know the attributes of God. The more I do this, the more I find out is that people who call themselves Christians just don't spend enough time alone with God. Conformation came to me last night. This is the Holy Spirit speaking. We get so busy in life and opportunities to be with God-just slip away. I've always said that "YOU WILL MAKE TIME FOR WHAT IS IMPORTANT IN YOUR LIFE". It's time to fall on our knees and seek the face of God and just ask Him to stir your heart and what He would have you do because 'WE ALL HAVE A JOB TO DO'. God bless you all.
Devo: 8/16/17: There is a lot of talk about labor pains. What do they mean? John 16 says this .....you will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. 21 A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. Matthew 24:8 also says nations rise up against nations- these are the beginning of these birth pains. Get ready and don't miss this train. It's a one way ticket. If you don't have a ticket, please see me, or one of our team members. God bless
Devo: 8/15/17: As I ponder this devo today, I realize how inadequate I feel like I am at this huge undertaking that is upon me. I feel that God has given me a responsibility that is kind of overwhelming. BUT- every time I go out to the homeless, and see how they receive, I understand a little more. You see, I fear The Lord to the point I will go out into extremely uncomfortable situations. I'm not puffing myself up, I'm just understanding Gods wisdom more and more everyday. I encourage you to go outside the walls of the church building and do unto the least of these because you are doing it unto Him. (The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10). Be encouraged to seek wisdom and knowledge.
Devo: 8/14/17: I have a huge burden. I really feel, so many think all is well. Going about their daily life not knowing or not watching for the return of Christ. It's like in the day of Noah. Everyone is just going from day to day, doing life stuff and not even watching. All the signs are there and in place that he told us to for and to look up, for your redemption draws close. What can I say? What can any of us that knows what I'm talking about do or say? If you are truly full of The Holy Spirit, you know what I'm saying and talking abut. Pray for the right words and the Holy Spirit to lead and direct our words. Be encouraged and have a great Monday.
Devo: 8/11/17: Dear Lord, give us a revelation today. Show us our heart the way you see it because the heart is deceitful to us. Jeremiah 17:9. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Psalm 51:10. God bless you all.
Devo: 8/10/17: Hello friends and family. What does it take to be an effective witness for God. I'm not talking about that person that just goes around and tells everyone he know about this wonderful person he met named Jesus. Because most will discard him. How do you become effective? I think sometimes we think we are just doing our job because we did what we were suppose to do. But, I am not satisfied with that. Are you? And I'm not sure that maybe we missed the mark here. In a regular job that we get paid for the job we do, there has to be results. Question to all, are we looking to be that EFFECTIVE WITNESS AND NOT JUST SOMEONE WHO SAYS, "well I tried"? Let's get results. And it has nothing to do with our efforts. Remember the power comes from the Holy Spirit and the Word pierces the hearts. Be encouraged
Devo: 8/9/17: Hello friends and family. The thoughts that the Holy Spirit is giving me today is to walk in the Spirit. You know, I get all kinds of responses from these devotionals in one way or another. What is walking in the Spirit to you? Scripture ref Galatians 5:16. -God Bless.
Devo: 8/8/17: I just want to take some time to just go to our Lord and to just thank Him for all of who He is. And the promises He has given. To thank Him for saving us even though we were in darkness and in the mud. He gave us His son to make a way when there wasn't any way to redemption. And the peace beyond all understanding. Philippians's 4:7. Go get that peace... Be Encouraged.
Devo: 8/7/17: Wow...What a weekend of storms in Tulsa over the weekend. It all hit where I work. All is okay though. The Lord takes me to thought of storms we face in life. I know that seems like the thing to say after this kind of thing. But look at 1 Peter 1:6-7. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith-of greater worth than gold, which parishes even though refined by fire-may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. God Bless !!!!!
Devo: 8/4/17: Hi guys, guess what? It's Friday!!!! The thoughts God is showing me on this Devo today is simple. Don't become so heavenly minded that your not any earthly good. We can get into the presence of God during our worship and it is a wonderful thing. But we still have a job to do. Come out of that rut. As we are the body of Christ, we need to be taking care of His people. So, my challenge to you is to go out into the highways, byways and hedges and do what ever God has called you to do. Read Luke 14:23. Be encouraged.
Devo: 8/3/17: Signs of end time prophecy. So many we see. But, the one that sticks out to me the most. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud......2 Timothy 3:2-5. But what is most disturbing is that I see it in some churches, and even in some cases, from the pulpit. We need to really take stock/inventory of our hearts. It's not about us, it's about JESUS and fulfilling His great commission. Always, and I mean always-be open to changes because we WILL miss the mark at times. Let the Bible rebuke and correct you. Love you all and God bless.
Devo #2: 8/2/17: Can I have another minute of your time. I can't express my heart. But I'll try. I often fail the Lord. But I'm broken, and it's in these times I feel so so close to Him. If you only could see where I have come from. My past isn't real colorful. And He still chose to use me. And now in these broken times is when He uses me for others that need a help up. It doesn't really matter how much you know about the Bible, because your struggling. The help comes from this Agape love that only can come from God. But, can flow through His people. (1Timmothy 1:5- The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith).
Devo: 8/2/17: I am just in full worship mode. I suppose. All I know is I love the Lord and I want to express it to Him. Please realize that this is the only reason God created man was to worship Him and to share that Agape love that He has. Find that secret place today and spend some quality time with our God. (But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9). God bless.
Devo: 8/1/17: We have had a wonderful time doing some one on one the past two days. I am learning everyday what Mark 4 means when Jesus said "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear ". If you are seeking a closer walk with Jesus and feeling a stir in your heart, it is not by mistake. In vs 11, He talked about mysteries of Kingdom of God that you are starting to understand these mysteries and most do not. Don't feel alone. But, you may start feeling alone because as you get closer to God, you WILL START TO LOOSE FRIENDSHIPS. Ungodly ones. Jealousy sets in with people and Satan will try to derail you. Keep those friends that support your efforts to grow. But- keep the good fight. Read the whole chapter of Mark 4 and realize that God is going to show you His depths if you have an ear to hear. Be encouraged.
Devo: 7/28/17: Today's devo goes out for Kathy, Randy, John and Josh. Along with their family. Thank you Father, for the promise that when we mourn, You will comfort us. Let these individuals and family feel the healing touch and that You will never fail them. (....weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5). We are praying for you guys through all of this.
Devo: 7/27/17: I asked myself this morning, "why do we fear"? I know it's not of God. Even fear of spiders and snakes, or mice. Some fear other things. I can see a fear of separation from God. The first time fear entered all of humanity is when Adam told God-"I heard your voice in the garden and I was AFRAID because I was naked." You won't live in fear when you live in Gods love. Listen, it's okay to empty your thought process and fill it with Godly thoughts. Read/study to show yourself approved. Walk in the Spirit and seek God throughout the day. Take every thought captive. 2 Corinthians 10:5. In praying for all of you. Be encouraged.
Devo: 7/26/17: What is the day of the Lord? I think we all will agree it's with end time events. Now, is the baptism of the Holy Spirit for us today? Acts 2 says it all. "They are not drunk". You see, Peter told them all this prophesied by Joel (Joel 2:28). I encourage you go read it all. So, if it was for them in Acts 2, and goes all the way to the end times----- I think we fall under that umbrella. It's for all of us. Go get it. Praise His Holy Name.
Devo: 7/25/17: What does God expect from us? Boy is this debatable. All I can say is this, you can not work your way into His grace. There isn't enough good deeds you can do to stay there. What He expects from us is total surrender and then He will direct us to unleash the fruit of the Spirit. You can't unleash this fruit if you don't have the Holy Spirit to get the fruit from. If we don't have the fruit mentioned in Galatians 5:22-26, maybe we need to totally surrender. God bless.
Devo: 7/21/17: If you didn't read yesterday's scripture devo- (Psalm 98:4. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, BURST into jubilant song with music). In other words, when you enter deep worship, and the Holy Spirit rises in you with a swell, LET IT BURST. Don't hold it back. God Bless!!!!
Devo: 7/20/17: I really feel that today's devo should emphasize worship. God is calling us out to worship Him. Remember, if we don't worship Him, the rocks WILL cry out in our place. You will see this in Luke 19:40. Read Psalm 98. LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD!
Devo: 7/19/17: Hey guys- As we have a wonderful time in the presence of God, and serving others, we are shaking all of hell and inhabitants therein. I have noticed attack after attack come against some of the finest people of God. We need (more than ever) to put on the whole armor of God for we do not wrestle with flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, and against the rules of darkness of this age. Against spiritual wickedness in high places. Pray for our ministry and put on the whole armor of God!!!! Read Ephesians 6:10-20. Just be encouraged.
Devo: 7/18/17: OMG- What an evening spent with friends and the Holy Spirit. United and in one accord. Acts chapter 2:14-21 Peter stood up and addressed the men of Judea. In the last days I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your SONS and DAUGHTERS WILL prophesy. Young men will see visions and old men will dream dreams. Peter was actually quoting Joel 2:28 in the OT. We are in these days folks. This is what Peter was talking about. Don't miss this train. Look to heaven for your redemption draws near. God bless
Devo: 7/17/17: Can God still use me? Our past doesn't disqualify us from our future. Be careful not to talk yourselves out of your full potential. Understand who you are in Jesus. To understand who we are in Jesus is essential in enabling who we will become. The problem is- we know every single rotten thing we've ever done and can make excuses for why we can't do something good. Don't let your history identify your identity and it DOES NOT define your future. A good read 2 Corinthians 5:11-21. God bless
Devo: 7/14/17: By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:35. We had a great time getting to know a sister in the Lord last night and just to fellowship in the presence of the Almighty. I can see how God is orchestrating this whole thing. God is on the move. We are in the last days and get ready for an out pouring like never before. This is just the beginning. The time is now to get in or get out. Don't straddle the fence because God will spew you out of His mouth. There is a stirring in the hearts of believers. This stirring is not to be ignored. God bless and happy Friday.
Devo: 7/13/17: Do you seek absolute truth? Remember Romans 3:4 that God be true, but every man a liar. So do you depend on learning from human or God or both? There is good teaching and preaching BUT- what is GOD telling you with revelation? He will speak to you as well as them. How do you reach total truth? For me, I listen to teaching and preaching and seek God also, through reading His word but most comes through revelation through the Bible and God teaching me. Knowing that His perfect grace brought me to where I am in this place. I shout that I am His and He is mine!!! God Bless
Devo: 7/12/17: Yesterday I asked a question on Facebook, and got some interesting answers. It may have brought up some painful childhood thoughts. But it is important. "What would you tell yourself if you could go back to your youth. Advice? Point out a wrong direction? What would you say to yourself ?" Would you have listen to your older self? This is important because our youth has the same issues as we had (and more) and if you can truly find that answer that would have changed your direction in your youth, you may be able to help someone young today. God bless
Devo: 7/11/17: It is often the said to love God with all of your heart, soul, and mind. Go to Matthew 22:37 and you will find it. And, we might say we do. But, Jesus ask Peter, "Do you love me" three times. Every time Peter said yes and the third time Peter's feelings were hurt. In the verses that follow illustrate the way Peter would follow Jesus up to His death. We all know Peter denied Jesus 3 times, so did Peter really give Jesus his whole heart? He eventually did. But I encourage you to read the whole passage (John 21:15-19) and apply it to your life. Analyze your heart. God bless and be encouraged.
Devo: 7/10/17: Happy Monday all- I hope your weekend was good. I feel like as a church body, that we need to get back to the basics. The body of Christ as a whole. I have seen many cultures and the customs in different churches vary drastically. But here is the deal, I still believe in holiness. We run into unholy every time we go into the streets and we love them through it. 1 Peter 4:8 tells us how to handle it. The Bible will show the error of their ways. Teach it and let the Holy Spirit do His work. Don't water it down but love continually. Jesus never condoned sin but loved all of us into the Kingdom to the point of being crucified. Do not shun, avoid, or even disassociate yourselves. Go to them and let Christ shine through you with His love. If they reject you, then wash your hands and dust off your feet then go to the next. Let's be the church and not just go to church. Be encouraged
Devo: 7/7/17: Being a Christian can be the toughest thing ever sometimes. What can be tougher than loving your enemy? But let me say this- We are all brothers and sisters and we are all men and women and it's tough-but, through Christ all things are possible. The rough and tough will go away. You are not a complete man or woman until you know Christ. (...."My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9). Be encouraged
Devo: 7/6/17: Do you ever find yourself looking for ways to grow closer to God? That is me. Don't wait for lightning to strike. I'm sure there are ways that work but this is what I do and I'm pretty sure it will work for you. Devote yourself to unselfish deeds? Be a better person? Wait for that lighting to strike? None of these. But, just go to Him daily in a humble way. And just ask for a closer walk with Him. Ask Him what you can do to further His kingdom. Read-Read-Read the Bible. Learn of His ways. God bless
Devo: 7/5/17: Hello friendly peeps. So often we find ourselves looking for the return of Christ (and we should). Watch, for your redemption draws close. But, what are we doing during those times? We still have a job to do. And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. Isaiah 58:10.
Devo: 7/3/17: Ask yourself a question: Am I ministering to the needy the way Jesus did? In a nut shell-Jesus's ministry is all about the needy. Either He found them or they found Him. -He served the needy and encouraged us to as well. -He brought the good news to them. Let us complete our ministry by lending a helping hand to the less fortunate. (And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16.) God Bless
Devo: 6/30/17: Pray with me this prayer. Lord, use me. You created me in this particular time, in this window of time to do a work. You could have created me in the Middle Ages or any time other time other than now. But you chose this era and I know you have work for me to do. Lead me, walk with me, and show me what you would have me do. I since the urgency of lost souls. In Jesus name amen. Happy Friday everyone and have a good weekend.
Devo: 6/29/17: I seek total truth. In order to do this, we must acknowledge that God is total truth. When we can get to that point, we become free. Free of religion and any teaching that don't line up with the Bible. (Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32) (So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36.)
Devo: 6/28/17: I am somewhat perplexed at the way some people think. And at the way we have been taught. We are taught to look toward heaven and the after life. This world we live is falling apart before our very eyes. And it is. BUT, as I do too look forward to the coming of the Lord and those pearly gates.... God created man is this physical form also. He put value in this. Man has failed God in so many ways but we are still a valued commodity to the point that He gave up His Son's physical life on the cross but in all actuality, it's part of the big plan. I am not afraid of death at all but I do put value in this life. (Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your world. Psalm 119:18 TLB)
Devo: 6/27/17: It's this simple- But those Who hope in The Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31.
Devo: 6/26/17: As humans, at times we will slip into an area of less desirable. Just face it, even Christians fall into a bad mood. Pity parties and like to complain about everything. We will even complain to God. But just know this, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Good read under these conditions-2 Corinthians 1:3-4. God Bless
Devo: 6/23/17: Will you chase Jesus to the point, you will not be denied? Become sensitive to the Holy Spirit. You know, without Jesus, I'm nothing. I can't do what I do without Him. I rest under the shadow of the All Mighty. I can speak confidently of what I say because when we live according to the standards that is set before us, and know beyond any shadow of a doubt the anointing is upon you to speak such things. To put it bluntly- I don't speak out of arrogance but the authority of the Holy Spirit. I don't have it all figured out but the one who leads me does and I put all my trust in Him. I encourage you to seek a sensitive relationship with God. He wants it with you. Will you relentlessly pursue Him the way He relentlessly pursues you? God bless.
Devo: 6/22/17: When trying to win souls, I sometimes think that we speak right over people. When we get so spiritual (and that is a good thing for us but not so for a sinner) that we can't connect with those that aren't spiritual. We have so much knowledge and wisdom, the message to a sinner flows right over their head. They get frustrated and feel that they aren't capable of living a Christian life. Sometimes we just need to love them into the kingdom and let the questions come as the Lord directs. They need the milk and not meat. We are so use to ministering to believers and so when ministering to a sinner, the message must be simple-Jesus loves you and so do we. Teach slowly during discipleship. God bless
6/21/17: Why was I born? Why am I here? Folks, we all have a meaning for our life. God knew us before we entered the womb. We have a job to do that we have been divinely appointed. Are you doing your job? Have you found why your here. Ask yourself a question-Can I honestly say that what I'm doing is for all The Glory and honor to go to God. Go find your calling-Good read Colossians 3:17. Be encouraged
Devo: 6/20/17: When Jesus was on trial, Pilot asked a question, "What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?" Pilot washed his hands of Jesus and would have nothing to do with it or Him for that matter. But God does not let any of us off the hook like that. We must say "yes" or "no". All of us at one time or another will or have rejected Him, neglected Him, or even made fun of Him....or....we can receive Him. Good read Jeremiah 8:9. God bless !!!
6/19/17: Devo: We have been out of town, (Way out of town in Hawaii). It's good to be back.
If I said I would wheel a wheelbarrow on a tight wire between high rise buildings downtown with 200 lbs of dirt in it, some might believe that I could do it. Most wouldn't believe. Which are you? Maybe I practiced it. Or if not, why would I attempt such a thing? Considering these things, you now have faith in me. Right? Then I tell you I'll do it again but with you in the wheelbarrow. Do you still have that faith? Sometimes I think that we confess faith in Christ but do we really have faith like that? Be encouraged.
Devo: 6/7/17: Hello friends, Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6. There will come a day when people will call upon The Lord and He won't answer. That great catching away when the dead in Christ rises and then those that are alive. Those left behind will call upon Him and there will be no answer. But be encouraged, because we will be with Him in Glory.
